Welcome

At AHX Advisors, we believe clarity starts with strong foundations. That’s why we’ve created the Xero Health Checklist — a free, practical tool to help you review your books, identify gaps, and ensure your accounting system is working for you, not against you.

Why This Matters

Even well‑run businesses can miss small details that snowball into bigger issues. Regular health checks help you:

  • ✅ Catch errors early
  • ✅ Stay compliant with BAS, GST, and payroll obligations
  • ✅ Keep cash flow visible and under control
  • ✅ Protect sensitive data with the right access settings

The 10‑Point Health Check

Work through each section step by step:

  1. Bank Reconciliation

    1. Are all bank feeds connected and up to date?
    2. Are all transactions matched and documented correctly with customer, supplier details?
    3. Are all incomes being invoiced and payments applied correctly?
    4. Are all expenses having bills raised and the supplier invoices attached?
    5. Are there any unreconciled deposits or payments outstanding?
    6. Does the bank reconcile correctly to the actual bank balance at the end of each month?

  2. Accounts Receivable — are overdue invoices flagged and followed up?
  3. Accounts Payable — are bills tracked and supplier records complete?
  4. BAS & GST Checks — is coding accurate and lodgement timely?
  5. Payroll Review — are pay runs, super, and leave balances correct?
  6. Chart of Accounts — is your chart clean and meaningful?
  7. Custom Reports — do reports reflect your goals and KPIs?
  8. Xero Add‑ons — are integrations syncing properly?
  9. User Access & Permissions — is data secure and access appropriate?
  10. Audit Trail & Notes — are decisions documented and review‑ready?
